Nordic Free Flow
Saltair’s Nordic Free Flow invites you to move through cycles of hot, cold, and rest — at your own pace and on your own terms. This time-honoured form of contrast therapy supports physical vitality and mental clarity, and we’re proud to help make it a part of your wellness practice.
Our all-season, all-weather Nordic Free Flow includes access to a dry sauna, wood-fired sauna, steam room with salt scrubs, cold plunge, ice buckets, and heated pools. Between hot and cold cycles, nourish and reset: enjoy a bite or drink at our café, stretch in the forested yoga dome, rest in hammocks or by fire pits, or refresh your skin with Aveda products at our self-serve facial bar.
Robes, towels, sandals, and a secure locker in our Aveda-enhanced change rooms are included with all Nordic Free Flows.

Guided Classes
At Saltair, to Be Guided is to be gently challenged — an invitation to lean beyond the edge of your comfort zone and into a space of growth and resilience. Whether you’re seeking to energize, find your balance, or soften and slow down, we offer a spectrum of sensory-rich journeys rooted in contrast, movement, and breath.
We offer three main styles of Guided Classes to meet your interests, intentions, and energy:
Guided Sauna Classes which fully incorporate heat (hot sauna), cold (plunge), and rest (warm sauna)
Guided Movement + Sauna Classes which begin with movement (such as yoga, pilates, and somatic exercises) in our Gathering Dome, and then transition into a Guided Sauna flow of heat (hot sauna), cold (plunge) and rest (warm sauna)
Movement Classes, which include classic mat experiences like yoga and pilates, and take place entirely in our Gathering Dome
Guided Sauna Classes
Every Guided Sauna Class at Saltair is a 75-minute sensory journey — a mind-body-spirit experience centred around a seasonal or wellness-based theme.
Thoughtfully choreographed and led by Guides from start to finish, guests first meet in our Relax Room to get centred. From there, each class blends heat (hot sauna), cold (plunge), and rest (warm sauna) with immersive elements like aroma, sound, seated movement, and breath. These culminate to evoke a particular energy or intention, creating an atmosphere that’s both transformational and deeply restorative. The group dynamic adds a quiet kind of encouragement, where many find themselves able to explore more deeply, stay a little longer, or let go more fully.
Set against the unreal backdrop of the world-famous Bay of Fundy, these sessions are best felt rather than explained — and are only available at Saltair Nordic Spa & Wellness.

Come to sweat and feel invigorated in a journey designed to cultivate good vibes.

Our Sauna Guides will help to stoke the fire within you: your energy, your confidence, and your vitality. This is an invigorating class with livelier music, soul soaring affirmations, uplifting aromas, and breathing techniques that will amplify the powers of the heat and cold.

Feel alive and strong from the inside out. Not once — but twice — you have the opportunity to embrace your inner warrior in the ice baths. This Guided practice will prepare and encourage you to dig deep, connect to your breath, trust your inner voice, and prove you can do hard things.

Wind-Down
It’s time to calm the nervous system. In a Wind-down class, we’ll slowly let go of the physical and emotional tension we carry and allow ourselves to experience more calm. This offers space to notice what your body is holding — and begin to set it aside. Expect softer music and calming aromas like lavender, ylang ylang, and sandalwood. Grounded honesty, heightened awareness, and the joy of relief await you.

When your inner flame feels dim, this class helps you turn inward and Feeling scattered, depleted, or out of touch with yourself? This Guided mindful meditation practice invites you to gently scan the body — bringing awareness to areas of pain, discomfort, or disconnect. In doing so, you begin to rebuild a more compassionate and connected relationship with your physical and emotional self.

Sweat and polish away what no longer serves in a rejuvenating ancient ritual of salt exfoliation, breathwork, and guided meditation. You'll use Aveda’s Above & Beyond Salt Scrub to stimulate the skin and prepare the body for detox through heat and cold. Finished with a layer of warm botanical oil, you’ll emerge radiant, softened, and renewed.

Our Saltair Signature Sauna + Movement classes offer a self-care practice unlike anything else. Each thoughtfully designed 75-minute class blends movement (such as pilates, yoga, and somatic exercises) in our forested Gathering Dome, and then continues that momentum with a Guided journey of sauna, cold plunge, and stillness. It’s a complete intentional and sensory-rich experience — layered with aroma, sound, and mindful prompts — to nurture the transformation you’ve set in motion.

YOSA Ignite is a strong and powerful way to rev up your body and spirit. Begin with Flow (Vinyasa) yoga to awaken and energize you —think Sun Salutations and Warrior Poses. You’ll follow this work with a feel-good Guided Sauna experience that rewards you with heat before a final test of your vigor with a cold plunge.

There’s strength in stillness. Prove it to yourself in this Saltair Signature class that opens with Yin yoga — long-held seated, supported, and supine postures and stretches. You’ll carry this forward in the Guided sauna as you deepen your awareness and connection to self. A heart-centering cold plunge reminds you of your resilience, and a final savasana in the sauna offers a peaceful, grounding close.

Explore pauses and motion (and pauses again) with this Vin-Yin-inspired Saltair Signature class. We begin on the mat with yoga designed to slowly warm the body, soften the edges, and settle the mind. From there, your Guided Sauna experience continues to bring you into harmony with contrast: heat and cold, stillness and sensation, presence and release. It's the perfect middle path—one that steadies you from the inside out.

Guided Movement Classes
If you’d prefer to keep it classic and simply enjoy yoga, pilates, or other movement practices without stepping into a bathing suit or a sauna, we have exactly what you need.
These traditional 60-minute classes are provided entirely in our forested Gathering Dome with spectacular views of the Bay of Fundy. This, alone, brings on a gorgeous shift that you’ll notice the moment you enter this space.
We’re continuing to grow the types of movement classes we offer while keeping things accessible: whether you're new to the mat or a seasoned practitioner, we meet you exactly where you are.
Please note that Movement Classes do not provide access to the main Saltair facility, including showers and change rooms. A cubby in the Dome is available for your personal items. Mats and accessories (such as bolsters and blocks) are provided, but clients are also welcome to bring their own.

Yoga Wind-Up is a Vinyasa-inspired flow that builds energy through intentional movement and breath. Expect a steady build of grounding postures into movement and breath — from seated openers to standing shapes — designed to increase circulation, flexibility, and focus. It’s a smooth, energizing way to start (or restart) your day.

Yoga Wind-down draws from Yin yoga, where long-held stretches gently target what’s held deeply, especially in the hips, hamstrings, and upper and lower back. This class focuses on releasing tension and creating space in both body and breath. With fewer poses held for longer periods, it’s a calming practice designed to help you settle and restore.

Between Realms blends Vinyasa and Yin yoga to explore contrast — pauses and movement, strength and release. The class begins in stillness, moves into flow, and returns to stillness. Grounded, held poses support deeper reflection. Flow provides the opportunity for expansion. An ideal class when you’re looking for both activation and calm in one experience.
Guided Spa Add-Ons
It’s more than rest — it’s restoration. When you book a Nordic Free Flow, you may have the option to enhance your rest cycle with additional spa services designed to enhance your overall well-being and experience at Saltair.
For those who want to fill their wellness cup a little more, Guided Spa Add-ons are an invitation to receive. These aren’t clinical treatments or hurried appointments — they’re rituals of care, thoughtfully layered to soften, soothe, and restore. These add-ons are not private bookings
These services blend “self-care” (where you’re Guided in applying the treatment yourself) with “hands-on care” (where a Guide is directly involved in providing the service).
Add-ons are offered in a shared setting (Saltair’s Restore Room) and may include other guests. There is space for up to six people per session. To book, schedule your Nordic Free Flow and select a Guided Spa Add-on.

Offered twice daily, Saltair’s 30-minute Guided Spa Package is designed to improve your body and mood. It’s a multi-sensory ritual designed to replenish what’s been poured out — and to remind you that care can be both simple and spectacular.
This offering can be incorporated into your Nordic Free Flow’s rest cycle as an add-on purchase. Our Guided Spa Packages change every six weeks.

Tiny needles. Big shift. Acupuncture helps clear blockages and get your Qi — your body’s vital energy — moving again. It’s a gentle way to support balance and flow. This service, which can be purchased as an add-on for your Nordic Free Flow rest cycle, is provided by a Saltair Guide who has been formally trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Think of it as a reverse massage. Warm cups create suction to lift tension and stagnation out, leaving you lighter (and maybe a little polka-dotted!). Fire cupping can increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, and promote muscle relaxation. This service, which can be purchased as an add-on for your Nordic Free Flow rest cycle, is provided by a Saltair Guide who has been formally trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
